Behind Glass
I’ve started a new street photography project called “Behind Glass”, with the aim of combining some of my existing street work with a stream of new work. “Behind Glass” as the name suggests refers to people and faces photographed behind glass. There’s no specific rules about it, except each street shot aims to capture people on the street going about their daily lives. I’m trying to get eye contact with each shot to make viewing more interesting. It’s quite challenging photography as you need to be close with a wide angle lens, however the final image should make you feel like you are actually there, up close and personal with the subject. Additional challenges are in post processing as you often get a great deal of reflections which occasionally can help the image, but more often than not they reduce the quality or even destroy the final photo. Watch this space… ( or should I say ‘glass’).
